Picture exchanging vows on an outdoor deck on the riverbank overlooking the crystal-clear, gently flowing waters of the Toccoa River that create an unforgettable backdrop for your ceremony. And as dusk turns into night, this enchanting property invites you and your guests to take in the mesmerizing night sky, adorned with countless, twinkling stars visible in one of North Georgia's lowest light-pollution areas.
The Stars
On clear new moon nights the sky above Where the River meets the Stars is lit with more stars than can normally be seen across the South. Satellites, stars, planets, the space-station, and UFOs are often seen as well as the Milky-Way. Full moon nights light up the grounds and river so bright lights outside are not needed to see to walk around. And when the earth is in the right position there are occasions that the aurora borealis entertainingly lights up the night.
The River
Normally clear mountain river sustaining abundant wildlife on the banks and in the water. Often seen are deer, turkey, fox, ground-hog, river otter, beaver, hell-bender, trout, small-mouth bass, osprey, bald-eagle, ducks, and geese. In warmer weather the river provides for a popular float trip in inner tubes, rafts, kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards. Trout fishing by wading or floating by are common activities.
