WHO WE ARE
The Kirks - Chuck, native Georgian with roots from the local area, east Georgia, and North of Atlanta near the Kennesaw mountain area, and Pamie - with roots from Brooklyn, NY, California, and the Obed area of Tennessee. Providing a resort lite relaxing experience for those who visit.
VISION
The property was purchased almost 24 years ago with the dream of building a log home at some point. For many years the family camped in campers and tents and then build a shed for storage and a massive octagon shaped pergola for hammock camping with a four foot diameter firepit. The property was used as a base-camp for fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, hiking, and exploring the neighboring areas. The goal of building an area where the family can gather, relax, and bond was the idea behind building the house we did. What started out being planned on a napkin to Chuck and Pamie designing the house through over 78 iterations to finally get to a deluxe modern cabin with two large covered porches overlooking the Toccoa river.
MISSION
The Kirk's daughter asked if she could get married at the new house and for that wedding Chuck decided that he was going to build a deck. Jumping through the local government's demands and requirements for proper permits, the deck was finally built. The wedding was spectacular and it was recommended that we open the venue for others to experience such a welcoming and pleasant place for their own weddings on the river bank or for other gathering events.
OUR MISSION
To share our piece of heaven with others to have their own special moment at one of the finest spots on the Toccoa river to create lasting memories.
Our venue is easily accessible on one of the flattest parcels on the Toccoa river. Outdoor weddings on the banks of the river are easy to put together as the venue has a gentle slope down to a flat deck that extends to the waters edge.
